How does Hitscan's subscription model work?Hitscan’s plug-and-play recruitment subscription operates through role slots. Each slot represents one position we actively support. You can subscribe to one or multiple slots depending on how many hires you need help with. Your monthly fee is based on the number of active slots, giving you the flexibility to scale up or down as hiring needs change. For every active slot, we deliver our full service: targeted sourcing, candidate screening, shortlist delivery, interview scheduling, regular stakeholder check-ins, and monthly hiring insights. It’s consistent, high-quality recruitment support that's tailored for startups without the unpredictability of costly agency fees.

Do you offer any replacement guarantee?We take great pride in our candidate quality. With the Hitscan subscription model, we offer a one-time, 90-day replacement guarantee at no extra cost if a candidate doesn’t work out. For our contingent model, we provide a tiered refund over six weeks.

Who are your recruitment services for?Our services cater to startups, founders, fast-growing early stage companies, businesses with limited or no internal recruitment team and organizations seeking specialized or ongoing recruitment support.

What happens if I hire a candidate after my subscription ends?We strongly recommend hiring candidates during an active subscription to benefit from our competitive, cost-effective rates. If you choose to hire a candidate we introduced within 6 months after your subscription ends, a 10% recruitment fee based on the candidate’s annual gross salary may apply. This policy ensures fairness and reflects the significant effort and resources we commit to finding top talent.

How do I cancel our Hitscan subscription?You can cancel your Hitscan subscription at any time by providing 14 calendar days’ written notice before your next billing date. The service will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, and as fees are paid in advance, no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the subscription following cancellation. This ensures the flexibility to scale down when needed, while keeping our billing process clear and fair.

How much does your Hitscan subscription service cost?Our Hitscan monthly recruitment subscription is priced at £1,500 + VAT per role, per month.

What happens to a Hitscan role slot after hiring?When a role is successfully filled through the Hitscan subscription, the role slot remains active for the rest of that billing cycle. From there, you can: Reassign the slot to a different open role you’d like us to support, or Cancel the slot with notice, and it will be removed from the next billing cycle. This ensures you’re getting full value from your subscription and can stay flexible as your hiring needs evolve.

Do you also offer a more traditional recruitment service?While we recommend our subscription model as the most cost-effective way to scale hiring, we remain flexible for founders and also offer a contingent (no hire, no fee) option that can be useful for one-off or highly niche roles. After you share your hiring requirements and role details, we use specialized headhunting techniques to find and vet the right candidates and present pre-qualified leads who are suitable for the position. With this service you only pay our agreed engagement fee upon a successful placement.

Can I cancel my Hitscan subscription at anytime?Absolutely - you can scale up, down, or cancel at any time. We just ask for two weeks' notice ahead of your next billing cycle. Any cancelled role slots will remain supported until the start of the next cycle, when the change takes effect.

Is there a minimum subscription period for the Hitscan model?No - Hitscan is a fully flexible service with no minimum commitment. Just keep in mind that we require a full two weeks' notice ahead of your next billing cycle for any cancellations to take effect.

How does Hitscan's subscription billing work?Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via direct debit, based on the number of active role slots at the start of each billing period. The billing cycle date is usually the same date we kick off a role and begin our search, unless stated otherwise. For clients adding role slots mid-cycle, any new slots will align with the original billing date to maintain consistency across the subscription.
